The present simple tenseزمن المضارع البسيط
- في صيغة الإثبات يتكون المضارع البسيط من مصدر الفعل وإذا كان فاعل الجملة مفرداً غائباً يضاف s للفعل أما الأفعال المنتهية بالحروف الآتية o , ss , sh , ch فأننا نضيف إليها –es .
- يستخدم المضارع البسيط مع الكلمات الآتية :
always , sometimes , usually , often , every ( day – week – year month)
- يعبر المضارع البسيط عن عادة أو حقيقة أو وصف ومثال ذلك:

Interrogative : الاستفهام
- للسؤال عن أشياء تحدث في المضارع البسيط نستخدم Do ………? بمعني ( هل .....؟ ) مع الاسم الجمع I / They / We / You.
Do + الفاعل + الفعل في المصدر ……?
- لاحظ أنه إذا كان الفاعل I في الجملة نستخدم you في السؤال.

- للسؤال عن أشياء تحدث في زمن المضارع البسيط نستخدم Does……? بمعني “هل....؟" مع الاسم المفرد He, She, It.

The Past Simple Tenseزمن الماضي البسيط
* في صيغة الإثبات يتكون زمن الماضي البسيط من التصريف الثاني للفعل بإضافة ed أو d للأفعال المنتظمة Regular Verbs ، مثال ذلك :
play → played live → lived
* توجد أفعال غير منتظمة ( تحفظ ) Irregular Verbs ومثال ذلك:
أرسل sent يرسل send
اشتري bought يشتري buy
رأي saw يري see
* يعبر الماضي البسيط عن فعل حدث في الماضي وانتهي ويستخدم مع الكلمات الآتية:
yesterday أمس - once ذات مرة - last الماضي ( week – month – year – Saturday – January) – in the past في الماضي - in 1950
1. I played football yesterday.
2. They lived in Aswan in the past.
3. He went to Egypt last month.
4. Her saw an elephant yesterday.
5. We ate fish yesterday.
6. I went to Giza in 2008.
The Past Simple Tense زمن الماضي البسيط
* للسؤال عن أشياء حدثت في الماضي البسيط نستخدم في صيغة الاستفهام Did ………? بمعني "هل......؟"
* لاحظ أنه إذا كان ضمير الفاعل We في الجملة نستخدم you في السؤال.

أحفظ الخطوات الآتية للتعامل مع أي سؤال :
 أقرأ السؤال جيداً بالكامل لتحديد زمن الجملة ( مضارع – ماضي – مستقبل ).
 أحذف الإجابة المطلوب السؤال عنها مثل where يبقي تحذف ( حرف الجر + المكان ).
 حط الحرف الكبير capital في بداية السؤال وطبعاً دي حاجة مهمة.
 شوف الفعل المساعد في الجملة ولو عندكis خده ، وأوعي تسيبه وتحط بداله do تبقى مشكلة.
 شوف الضمائر اللي هتتحول مثل I إلي you.
 أوعي تنسي تحط علامة الاستفهام في الآخر " ؟ "

* إذا لم يكن هناك فعل مساعد أو ناقص في الجملة ننظر للفعل الأصلي في الجملة ونضع علي أساسه:
( go – play – watch.. أذا كان الفعل مضارع بسيط بدون s →  do
